I was talking with my friend and I asked her what she is planning to study after she finishes school. After teasing me a bit she said that she wants to be a psychologist and then she added would I fit for this job? She started asking for approval whether she has made a good choice and also asking does she have what it takes to be a psychologist. My response you can be whatever you want.
Well, it’s natural to be in doubt when choosing a profession, because people are rarely driven by passion, but if you really have a goal in mind what you want to be, maybe you have a business idea then there shouldn’t be any doubt there, you don’t need to seek approval and ask do I have what it takes. The only person that can answer this question is you. You either believe in yourself or not and only one person is going to determine whether you succeed or not and again that’s you.
Yes, maybe someone already has that entrepreneurial soul and has some skills in selling and would probably get success faster than you, but that doesn’t mean you can’t succeed. You can develop all the necessary skills, if you are determined to your goal. You might take longer to reach that goal than someone with the skills, but you can achieve it.
So, don’t seek approval from others for your ideas, the only approval that you need is from yourself, if you believe in yourself that you can do it then you will find a way, you will find the resources and you will find the will power to do it.
